Our time in Sagada was a profound reminder of why we fight. From the historic hanging coffins to the vibrant coffee farms, we saw firsthand how Indigenous culture is inseparable from the environment. We spent time learning the intricate art of Sagada weaving—a craft that does more than decorate; it records the intergenerational stories of our people’s lives intertwined with nature and our long, proud history of defending ancestral lands against all odds.
To stand on this soil is to understand the stakes. We carry the spirit of Sagada and the lessons from our elders with us as we continue to push forward in our shared struggle.
