The Asia Young Indigenous Peoples Network (AYIPN) participated in the UN World Indigenous Youth Conference held in Nepal hosted by the Youth Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (YFIN), where Indigenous youth leaders from across the world came together for days of meaningful dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collective action.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in discussions on the urgent challenges facing Indigenous communities—from defending ancestral lands and protecting biodiversity to addressing the climate crisis, safeguarding Indigenous knowledge systems, and advancing the right to self-determination. The gathering also created space for youth delegates to exchange experiences from their communities, learn from one another’s struggles, and strengthen global Indigenous solidarity.
The conference served as an important reminder that Indigenous youth are at the forefront of protecting our peoples, cultures, territories, and future generations. Across different nations and realities, our shared commitment remains clear: to continue organizing, resisting, and building a future rooted in justice and collective liberation. 
Indigenous youth united beyond borders, carrying forward our shared struggle for the future.
