Melani from West Papua Support Network is a proud Indigenous Youth from West Papua, and Chuwaley from TAKDER is honorably from the roots of Cordillera. Although they come from different lands and peoples, they carry something deeply in common: an unshaken pride in their identity, culture, and the histories of resistance that shape their communities.
Their reflections remind us that across different territories, Indigenous peoples remain bound by shared values rooted in an identity that cannot be erased. They all live and fight for the protection of land and life, the preservation of traditions across generations, and the enduring struggle for self-determination and collective liberation.
