AYIPN at COP30: Indigenous Youth at the Frontlines of Climate Action
Indigenous Youth from across Asia raised our voices in the first week of COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
Throughout COP30, AYIPN engaged in various side events, dialogues, and solidarity actions, amplifying calls to defend Indigenous lands, uphold IP and women’s rights, and demand genuine climate solutions rooted in justice. AYIPN members from Indonesia also joined the powerful Indigenous Peoples’ Flotilla, standing in unity with communities from around the world calling for Climate Justice Now!
From exposing false climate solutions to defending our lands and asserting our collective rights, AYIPN stood firm that there can be no climate justice without Indigenous Peoples.
We amplified the calls to stop land grabs, end corporate exploitation, and uphold Indigenous knowledge and leadership at the center of real climate action.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors and partners whose support made the representation of Asia Indigenous Youth at COP30 possible. Together we rise and resist, ensuring that Indigenous voices lead the fight for climate justice and advance our campaign: Indigenous Lands in Indigenous Hands!
