The Southeast Asia Gathering of Indigenous Youth brought together young Indigenous leaders and advocates across the region to strengthen solidarity, share collective struggles, and amplify the continuing fight for Indigenous peoples’ rights, self-determination, and environmental justice.
From the gathering, Funa-ay Claver, the Secretary General of AYIPN, shared a message echoing a truth that Indigenous Peoples have carried for generations—those who defend the land are too often criminalized by the very systems destroying it.
Yet despite this, Indigenous people continue at the forefront of resistance.
Stand in solidarity with all Indigenous defenders continuing this struggle for land, life, and self-determination.
