More from the Leaders and Guardianship Gathering of the Indigenous Youth of Southeast Asia, Laarnie and Gimarson from Progressive Igorots for Social Action (PIGSA) shared some of their proud moments as Indigenous Youth.
The two Indigenous Youth from Cordillera spoke of the value of collective responsibility, solidarity, and commitment to struggle not only for our own communities, but alongside all people fighting for justice. Indeed, perseverance and collective action is what brings this fight into a more solid ground.
These reflections remind us that Indigenous identity is grounded both in culture and tradition as well as in solidarity, collective action, and the continuing fight for justice.
