As a conclusion to the reflections formed at the Leaders and Guardianship Gathering, Ephin and Mia leave us with powerful commitments that carry the spirit of Indigenous youth beyond the gathering itself.
Ephin came from Siklab Philippine Indigenous Youth Network and Mia is proudly from Integrated Development Program for Indigenous People in ST (IDPIP-ST) . Their messages embody a shared commitment to ensuring that Indigenous issues are heard in every space, while remaining steadfast in the face of fear and adversity.
These words remind us that defending our rights calls for the courage to speak truth where it is often unheard and the perseverance to continue organizing, resisting, and standing alongside our peoples.
