On this World Humanitarian Day, the Asia Young Indigenous Peoples Network (AYIPN) raises its voice against the continuing violations of International Humanitarian Law brought about by imperialist-led wars. Across the globe, relentless bombings and military offensives have turned Indigenous territories into battlefields, destroying our lands, killing our peoples, and threatening our very survival.
These wars do not only target Indigenous communities—they also claim the lives of countless humanitarian workers who serve in conflict zones. Their killings are not accidents but direct consequences of imperialist aggression that disregards the sanctity of humanitarian missions and the principles of IHL.
We condemn these crimes and hold the imperialist states accountable for the destruction, displacement, and deaths they have caused. On this day, we honor the courage of humanitarian workers and Indigenous communities alike who continue to serve, resist, and struggle amid attacks.
We call on all Indigenous youth and peoples to strengthen our solidarity, resist imperialist domination, and fight for justice, land, and liberation.
