The Asia Young Indigenous Peoples Network (AYIPN) proudly took part in the 3rd Asia Indigenous Youth Conference and 2nd General Assembly of the Asia Indigenous Youth Platform (AIYP) held last August 28–31, 2025 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This important gathering brought together Indigenous Youth leaders from across Asia to share experiences, deepen solidarity, and chart collective action in advancing the rights of indigenous peoples in the region.
AYIPN acknowledges the critical role of AIYP in providing a platform for indigenous youth voices to be heard and amplified at regional and global levels. The network looks forward to closer collaboration with AIYP in advancing common campaigns and initiatives, particularly in promoting the Indigenous Lands in Indigenous Hands (ILIH) Campaign, which underscores the youth’s commitment to defending ancestral lands, protecting resources, and strengthening self-determination.
AYIPN also sends its warmest congratulations to the newly elected members of the AIYP Council. Your energy, commitment, and passion inspire indigenous youth across the region.
Together, AYIPN and AIYP stand in solidarity to continue building stronger connections and creative collaborations,—grounded in the collective call: Indigenous Lands in Indigenous Hands!
