Today, we stand in unwavering solidarity with the Talaingod 13 and all Indigenous Peoples who continue to face criminalization for defending their rights and collective future. Join us as we call for justice for the humanitarian workers, educators, and Indigenous Peoples’ rights advocates who were unjustly convicted for helping Lumad children and teachers escape threats, militarization, and violence.
As Indigenous youth and allies, we recognize that this case goes beyond the criminalization of 13 individuals. It is an attack on the right of Indigenous children and youth to learn, to preserve their culture, and to access education free from fear and repression. The shutdown of Lumad schools and continued attacks on educators threaten not only classrooms but the future of entire Indigenous communities.
