The Asia Young Indigenous Peoples Network (AYIPN) proudly congratulates our Council of Leaders member, Satej Chakma, on his appointment as the new Asia Program Director of Land is Life.
Beyond his new role, Satej has been an active member of the Indigenous youth movement in Bangladesh, serving in the Bangladesh Indigenous Youth Forum, advocating for Indigenous Peoples’ rights, and contributing as a committed student leader, Indigenous rights defender, and media practitioner.
As a long-time advocate for Indigenous Peoples’ rights, we know Satej will continue to inspire Indigenous youth and strengthen regional solidarity. We look forward to seeing his leadership help amplify Indigenous voices and drive meaningful change across Asia.
